PRIORITIES FOR WARD 1
Newport is strongest when residents have a voice in the decisions that affect their neighborhoods. My priorities are rooted in listening, responsible decision making, and making sure the people who call Newport home are not overlooked.
EVERY VOICE MATTERS
Ellen Pinnock is dedicated to ensuring every voice in Ward 1 is heard and valued. Her primary goal is to create more accessible platforms and processes where residents can actively participate in decisions that affect their lives and neighborhoods. This means fostering an environment of open communication and direct engagement between the community and local government.
A NEWPORT WERE EVERYONE MATTERS
Newport is home to families who have been here for generations and those building a life here for the first time. Our young people, seniors, small businesses, unhoused neighbors, and people who are too often overlooked all have something important to contribute. The work of our city belongs to all of us.
SHOWING UP FOR WARD 1
Over the past term, I have advocated for Ward 1 and worked to make sure community concerns are brought forward. My work has included supporting young people and families, responsible development, community benefits, harm reduction, and dignity for all of our neighbors.
